Mavericks Band Boosters is a 501c3 organization to promote, stimulate and motivate the activities of Mountainside High School Performing Ensembles and Color Guards and to broaden its opportunities for development and competition.
Three ensembles comprise Mountainside High School’s concert ensemble curriculum that meet during the regular school day.
The Marching Ensemble is among the best programs offered at Mountainside High School. Students participate in a custom-designed show that incorporates music and dance in an exciting performance and present this at football games and four local and regional competitions.
This band performs at all men and women’s home basketball games throughout the season while traveling to post-season venues such as McArthur Court in Eugene and the Chiles Center in Portland.
Mountainside produces a school-wide musical for our main stage. This is a cooperative effort between the drama, choir, and band departments. For our part, we put together a top-notch pit orchestra composed of woodwinds, brass, strings, percussion, piano, and synth.
Mountainside High School features jazz ensembles along with several students who pursue their jazz interest in a combo format.
The Mountainside High School Dance and Guard Ensembles provides an environment that encourages self-discipline, development of leadership skills, and enhances self-esteem.
